What qualifications do I need to become a

Prospective volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and live or work in the proximity of the City of Middletown, NY.

Anyone 16-17 years of age interested in volunteering may join our junior firefighter program.

How many hours do volunteer
firefighters work?
There is no set amount of required hours for our volunteer fire department, however it is important to remain active within the department in order to maintain the status of a volunteer.
