Can a volunteer position lead to a career in firefighting? Yes. Volunteering is one of the best ways to get the necessary training and experience to be an attractive candidate for a career firefighting position.
How many hours do volunteer firefighters work? There is no set amount of required hours for our volunteer fire department, however it is important to remain active within the department in order to maintain the status of a volunteer.
What other opportunities are there for me within the department?
